Message from the Fire Marshal

Hello Safety Harbor Families, Residents and Guests,

The Safety Harbor Fire Department needs you to join us in our goal to be a fire safe community where everyone knows how to protect themselves, their families, and other community members from a fire. Safety is important to remember throughout the year and especially during the winter holiday season and in October, Fire Prevention Month. By working together, learning fire safety rules, having an escape plan and working smoke detectors in your home or business - these very important steps can make a difference in saving lives in the event of a fire.

While fire prevention is just one of our many Safety Harbor Fire Department safety awareness campaigns we invite you each October to attend our annual Fire Station Open House event to learn more about fire safety and to see the wonderful fire safety posters created by local elementary students. Also, our safety story times are back at the Safety Harbor Public Library, perfect for children and families to learn how to be safety smart when it comes to fire, water and back-to-school safety.

Be on the lookout through the year for more information on our fire safety PR events, and other programs or services, which include, but are not limited to:
  • CPR
  • Drowning prevention
  • Fire inspections of commercial property
  • Santa Tours
  • Smoke detector installation
At the Safety Harbor Fire Department we pride ourselves on providing you with high quality service and care with an emphasis on compassion and personal safety in everything we do.

Fire Marshal Richard Brock
